Mobility Assistance Service Dogs

Mobility assistance service dogs are trained to pull a wheelchair, open doors, pick up objects and a variety of additional tasks based off the needs of the handler.

Autism Service Dogs

These dogs are trained to interrupt self-harming behaviors, to help calm meltdowns, to find a child who has run away and/or to be tethered to a child to keep him/her from running.

Seizure Service Dogs

These dogs are trained to find help or assist the handler during and/or after a seizure. The dog may have a natural ability to detect an oncoming seizure and warn the handler.

PTSD Dogs

These dogs are trained to interrupt self-harming behaviors and/or nightmares, to provide deep pressure therapy, to provide medication reminders and to check-in when the handler is experiencing anxiety.

Will you train our dog to be a service dog?

I am sorry, It is our company policy to only work with our dogs.

Do you train dogs for individuals with diabetes?

Not at this time. However, a few of our dogs who are out working are alerting to individuals who have diabetes who live in the same household.

I have a puppy that I want to donate, will you take our puppy?

At this time we are not taking puppies as donations.

What breeds do you work with?

The golden retriever, Labrador retriever, goldendoodle and the Great Retriever

How long does it take to train a service dog?

Every service dog matures differently. It will take between 10 months to 2 years to train a service dog, depending on the tasks required.

When the dog is ready to graduate, how long do we spend training with you?

When our dogs are ready to graduate, our clients usually come for about 3 to 4 days to train. Be prepared for long days with lots of outings. We try to place most of our dogs during the Spring, Summer and Fall months as there is not much to do in northern Indiana in the Winter.

How old must the child be before they can get a service dog from your company?

The child needs to be at least 6.

Can we visit our service dog while they are in training?

Yes, we would love for you to join us on our outings.
