I have seen dogs do some amazing tasks with children; calming them down during breakdowns, laying down and keeping the child still, alerting to seizures and most importantly - being their best friend. They will never be alone, scared or sad again with their best friend at their side.
Northern Indiana Service Dogs will work with children, on a case by case situation. The service dog is a very amazing dog! However, it is important to remember that as special as these dogs are, they are still dogs. You cannot expect the dog to be a baby sitter or life saver in any way. Please contact us if you have a child in need of a dog and we will see if one of our dogs is a match for your child.
